IR2009-6/02 .Health Requirements For import Processed Hides and skins into I.R. Iran

A health certificate have to be issued by a veterinarian authorized  by  the Veterinary Authority of the exporting country, which certify the following health attestations:

1)     The products have been derived  from the animals which:

a.       located in zones free from FMD ,Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia , lumpy skin disease and Rinderpest.

b.       have shown no sign of anthrax during ante-mortem and post-mortem inspections; and come from establishments which are not placed under quarantine on account of anthrax control; and the product have been processed to ensure the destruction of both bacillary and spore form bacillus anthraces .

c.      slaughtered in an officially approved abattoir .

d.      were examined ante and post mortem under supervision of official veterinarians and have been found clinically healthy.

2)     The products have been salting for at least 28 days with sea salt containing 2% washing soda ( sodium carbonate – Na2CO3 ) ; or have been disinfected with formaldehyde gas by following procedure ; The products have been placed in a suitable container and for each cubic meter space of the container a mixture of 30 grams of potassium permangenate and 50 ml of commercial formalin has been used .
